Peripheral Geographies

Résidences INTER-CENTRES is an interregional exchange program between Centre SAGAMIE six artist-run centers co-producing the project, located in different regions of Quebec, from the banks of the St. Lawrence River to Abitibi-Témiscamingue. These seven partner organizations share a common geographical location on the outskirts of major urban centers. Like the centers, the 12 participating artists have also chosen to develop their practice in the regions.

INTER-CENTRES Residencies promotes the work of these artists throughout Quebec by focusing on mobility and the sharing of expertise, providing them with technical support and disseminating their work. This program also contributes to the development and consolidation of structural partnerships between organizations in the establishment of a collaborative network of artist residencies. It brings together different audiences and artists in contemporary art, promoting the discovery of their unique approaches. A group exhibition featuring the works of these 12 creators will be on display at the Centre SAGAMIE participating centers.
