This research/creation residency is open to contemporary artists from all disciplines. Focused on digital image processing and wide-format printing, the residency fosters the integration of digital creative tools into different artistic approaches.

Centre SAGAMIE thereby invites artists to take risks, to use the possibilities of the image and a digital creation approach to reflect differently on their practice. In a spirit of experimentation, the artist will be able to initiate and/or carry out projects with technical assistance and critical feedback in order to develop singular strategies for generating, transforming or disseminating the image.

Located in Alma, this residency offers artists time for reflection and renewal as well as technical means to develop new languages from a relevant and current digital vocabulary. Artists are hosted in our digital production laboratory (which also includes an inspiring private studio) and are supported by an experienced technical team in a long-term collaborative perspective.

Our short-term residencies are both intense in creativity and conducive to flexible schedules. Artists are selected with a concern for equity and openness to diversity and a multiplicity of practices.
