Building on the success of the first edition, we are delighted to be renewing this project, which demonstrates the artistic community's keen interest in micro-publishing and collaborative practices.
The Relier 2.0 project
The RELIER 2.0 project consists of micro-publishing residencies at Centre SAGAMIE.
Three artists from Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean will be twinned in pairs with three artists who respectively come from Montréal, Quebec City and Gatineau.
The call is open to artists who are members of the partner centres AXENÉO7, Centre CLARK, and Vu, as well as artists from the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region.
This project offers both a space for artistic creation and a forum for sharing. Selected artists will be invited to develop their personal micro-publishing projects while exchanging ideas about their approaches, expertise, and reflections on publishing practices with their residency partners. This collaborative process promotes encounters between different artistic and regional cultures, as well as the transmission of knowledge specific to micro-publishing.
The residencies will take place in March, April, and November 2026 at Centre SAGAMIE.
Participants will be selected jointly with the three partner centres based on their geographical location.
Date of the residency at Centre SAGAMIE :
- November 02 to 06, 2025 - artist-member of AXENÉO7 (Gatineau)
- March 09 to 13, 2026 - artist-member of Centre CLARK (Montréal)
- March 30 to April 03, 2026 - artist-member of VU, centre de diffusion et de production de la photographie (Quebec City)
Dissemination
Each partner centre will organize a launch event for the two publications resulting from its pairing: one by an artist from its region and one by an artist from Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean.
The artists' books produced a result of the residency will also be showcased in the documentation centres and/or bookstores of the three partner organizations.
The book launches will take place according to the programming schedules of each centre.
