My-Van Dam is a multidisciplinary artist who lives in Tiohtiá: ke / Mooniyang Montréal. She holds an BFA from l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and is a member of the CODE BLANC collective alongside the artists Stanley Février and Maryam Izadifard. Her artistic practice focuses on the transmission of intergenerational trauma and its multiple physical and psychological impacts. She also explores the body's memory and healing processes that foster personal and collective emancipation from oppressive systems. Her current research is rooted in somatic theories and practices to propose an interdependent and collaborative approach to care.

Dam has exhibited her work at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (2022), Université de Sherbrooke (2021), MAADI (2022), the POST-INVISIBLE biennale (2024), Fondation Rad Hourani (2021), Place-des-arts de Montréal (2021), Projet Casa gallery (2022), as well as the Art Souterrain festival (2022) and La Centrale galerie Powerhouse (2024). She recently presented two solo exhibitions at Montréal, MAI arts interculturels (2024) and at the PHI Foundation (2024). She carried out a residency at SBC Gallery of Contemporary Art (2023). Her work is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des arts de Montréal.
