Congratulations to the artists!

The RELIER project takes the form of micro-publishing residencies at Centre SAGAMIE.

Three artists from the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region will thus be twinned in pairs with three artists from the Montreal, Quebec and Gatineau regions.

These residencies are not only a space for creation, but also a territory for sharing. The selected artists will be invited to carry out their personal creative projects, while sharing their ideas about micro-publishing, their knowledge and skills in partnership with their residency twin.

The residencies will take place in April 2024.

The artists will be jointly selected with our three partner centers in this project according to their provenance (AXENÉO7 in Gatineau, Centre CLARK in Montreal et VU in Quebec City).

Diffusion

Each of our three partner centres will organize a launch event for the two publications produced by the artist from their region and the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean artist associated with him or her. In addition, each centre will reserve a prominent place for these two artists' books in their respective documentation centres and/or bookstores.

For its part, the Galerie L'Œuvre de l'Autre at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (Saguenay) will organize a joint launch of the 6 publications produced over the course of the project.

Publications will be launched by our partners from autumn 2024, according to their activity schedules.

Put together by Centre SAGAMIE, the RELIER project is supported by the CALQ's Programme de partenariat territorial in conjunction with Ville d'Alma.
