I have been active in the contemporary art scene for seven years, in particular as the founder of Les Mêmes-Cacaïstes and an ephemeral art space called Espace des Mêmes. In 2016, I completed my BFA degree in visual and media arts at UQAM. Collaboration and sharing with my peers are essential to my career. My interdisciplinary practice revolves around painting, collage, video, music, writing and photography. All these mediums allow me to engage in a form of spiritual and poetic meditation that could be described as visual haikus. I try to set myself apart from the omnipresent flow of images by presenting images that are closer to a dream, a daydream, a comic book! For me, a significant image is one that you feel compelled to come back to, that fascinates you, that captures your gaze from near and far. I interact with a selection of images in various ways, maximizing the optical effects generated by formal mirror effects. It's clearly about the act of painting, but transposed to all the technical means available to compose original images. A two-time winner of the Bourse d'Excellence awarded by UQAM and a recipient of the jury prize (presided over by Pierre Dorion) at the Foire d'Art Contemporain de Saint-Lambert, I have exhibited my work at Maison de la Culture Maisonneuve as part of the group show “Pour ici ou pour s'emporter” in 2016, on several occasions at Espace des Mêmes in 2017, at Galerie C.O.A in 2018, at Maison Symphonique in 2021 and at Livart in the summer of 2023.
