Born in 1979, Jason Cantoro is a Montreal visual artist of French-Canadian and Italian descent. He works full-time in his studio in Montreal. His artistic activity is based on bringing people together. Democratizing access to art and making room for others in his creative process is a priority for him. He strongly believes that works become art by way of sharing and discussion. On the formal level, he considers that his work helps us to explore the relationship between structured calculation and chance in repetition. For him, this is directly linked to the way we relate to our environment and act in society.

He developed his market in an independent manner in the US, Canada and in France. His work has been shown in solo exhibitions in galleries in Montreal, New York and Belgrade. It has also been presented in many prestigious American and Canadian art fairs (Scope Miami, Art New York, AAF, Fountain). Abroad, he has exhibited his work at art fairs in Paris, Hong Kong and London. One of his works, commissioned by the Bureau d'Art Public de Montréal, is on display on the exterior wall of the Strathearn building in the heart of the Milton-Park neighbourhood. His work can be found in corporate collections such as Colart Collection, Ubisoft, Ivanhoe Cambridge, Le cirque du Soleil, Groupe Aldo and numerous private collections.
