In my work, I seek to tangibly represent the complexity of our relationship to the world. Through a pictorial practice, I reflect on the ways in which our lifestyle is disrupting nature. My recent plastic and conceptual research focuses on the highly complex subject of the progressive and accelerated destruction of our planet, as well as on the human fantasy of colonizing another liveable planet. The improbable landscapes resulting from this exploration show women wandering through enigmatic and abstract spaces. The project aims to deconstruct the schematic structure of terrestrial landscapes (earth-horizon-sky) through the superposition of different coloured planes. All the while revisiting certain aspects of various modern painting movements and in reserving a special place for the representation of the human figure, this work allows me to explore the boundary between abstraction and figuration.
